Roseola... oh my!

My little one has Roseola. :( For those of my readers who have yet to have children you will find out how hard it is when your babies get sick. There are all kinds of sicknesses that babies and kids can come down with that I had never even heard of.
Really! And one's with scary names like... Herpangina or Hand Foot Mouth Disease! Yikes!

I don't think I really understood the hardship that comes when a mom and dad's little one is sick. I think I always thought, "ah.. poor baby." But, it wasn't until now, until I have lived this short life of mommy-hood, that I say... "ahhh... poor baby... poor parents." And thoughts followed with, "thank you mom and dad for everything you did for me!" :)

When your baby/child is sick and miserable it usually means the parents haven't slept much and may have possibly endured days of high pitch screams, cries, and whines for 12 hours a day. :)

Luckily our little Niko is showing signs of improvement. He had a high fever for 4 days, and then broke out in a terrible rash which covers his face, and chest/stomach and back. He is still a bit fussy, which makes for long days, but I'm am so thrilled that he is showing signs that he is feeling some better, and is almost ready to play and smile again.

So, we are here, waiting for more peaceful days to come, and wishing you health this holiday season!

Love to all,
jayme
