Father's Day 2010

We had a fun and adventurous father's day this year. Pablo has been traveling and working a lot lately, so I wanted to do something special that allowed us to all spend some quality time together.
The night before father's day Niko gave papa his father's day cards from us along with a special package. Inside the box a note read, "Papa, get ready for a WILD adventure." There was a map of texas, Pablo's sunglasses and keys, and a ribbon tied group of envelopes each labeled clue #1 - clue #5. We informed him he was going on a road trip and to be ready the next morning at 8:30 am. Along the way to our destination we had him open clues to give him hints of where we were going. Unfortunately I think he guessed what we had planned for him by clue #2. haha But, we still made him play along the rest of the way. :) We drove an 1 hour and half to the Wildlife African safari park in San Antonio. It was such a blast. We pulled a Brittany Spears and had the boys ride up front with us to help feed the animals (we figured this was ok since we drove 2 miles per hour through the park). We saw so many great animals and got to pet some of them too.
After we drove through the park we ate lunch at the Wildlife cafe where we ate some delicious food. It was a really fun adventure, and I'm hoping to start a roadtrip father's day tradition. I think that as the boys get older and can be more involved in the planning, it will be even more fun. :)
So, here's to the best husband and dad in the world!
We love you Papa!

Ps. A huge happy father's day to both my dad and Pablo's dad. We can't express enough of what you both mean to us. Love you both!!!
