Paris November 07

The Paris portion of the trip was awesome. It is an amazing city. The kind of place that you can picture yourself living in. We both talked about how fun it would be to live there for a little while. There are so many things to see and everything has so much history behind it.

They were getting ready for the holidays so the whole downtown area was lit and people filled the streets every night.

Having dollars in Europe is not that great and especially in a city famous for being expensive. On our first day we spent 50 bucks on a small meal consisting of pasta, raw meat and french fries. One of the pictures shows how much I loved the raw meat. Really wasn't bad, the sauce in it is tasty, just couldn't get over texture and temperature (cold). The waitress kept saying "I can cook it if you don't like it", but when in Paris....

Jayme walked all over Paris carrying 20 extra pounds and I just can't believe she did that. I was dead tired at the end of each day and I even think I lost weight while we were there. The second day we went out to a bakery and had some fresh croissants for breakfast which was cheap and tasted like heaven. Jayme wasn't a big fan of the chocolate filled croissants but I gladly ate her left overs.

Notre Dame was really great to see up close. We didnt think it would be that HUGE. It is amazing how they built structures like that without modern tools.

It was too cold the day we visited the Eiffel tower so we didn't climb the stairs. We got some good shots of it from the ground. Once it got dark they lit it and it made the trip in the cold totally worth it. We were able to ride their bus system which made moving around cheaper than cabs.
